When I started this blog, I was a 39 year old mother of four. I’ve written all my life, and I started running on May 10th 2014. Running was new; the latest step in a decade-long journey of thinking differently about myself, my body and what I can do – starting the year that I stared down 30, and realised that if I wanted to be around to see my grandchildren, I needed to make some changes…
This blog is about looking back on some of the stages of the process, and looking ahead to building strength – mental and physical – for the years to come.
I’ve been running now for nearly three years, and I’ve never regretted this discovery – one of the great loves of my life. I’m still running, and I’m still writing – now a full time freelance writer and editor. The journey continues!
